Amazing Discoveries

Amazing discoveries is my favorite place to go for ordering Magic the Gathering cards. They have a good selection of cards in stock, with the ability to use the computer in the back to check other locations.They carry a large selection of precon decks, card sleeves, and boxes. They also have a large selection of comics,and variety of D&D items. They have a very large, open space for meeting up to play and many people frequent there. I could say a lot of good things, and about what they carry!

I’m torn writing this review. I’m a regular at amazing I enjoy buying comics and selling them cards. I usually go in the afternoons during the week day right after they open for a quick stop. The staff is great and I get in and out pretty quick. Today 10/19 Sunday evening I go in. It’s not any busier than usual groups of people playing magic I believe but no other customers are coming up to the counter. There is a gentleman in front of me seeing a decent amount of Pokémon so I stand behind them as I wait my turn. I understand and get that there is one person at the buying counter. I have my kids with me and let them walk throughout the store as I was excited to show them the place I love to go to for comics and TCG. Like a good Dad I step out of line(nobody is behind me in line) to go check on my kids. I’m still patiently waiting I see people leaving from the tables as it gets less busy. There were two other gentlemen working one with long hair and glasses. A second one with buzz cut and glasses he was pretty much on the phone the whole time unless someone came up to him directly. They have both looked at me and not offered to help. I didn’t think much of it because I know one person works the buy counter. Now I’ve been in the store close to 40 minutes patiently waiting for my turn. Now another customer comes is and now the other 2 gentleman are more eager to help. They offer to take the other gentleman to other side of the counter to take care of him right away. I’m in shock cause I’ve been patiently waiting in line for close to 40 minutes waiting. No one else had bothered to help me, they looked at me but didn’t bother. Guess what the difference was between me and the customer that walked right in? Skin color and I really don’t like to throw that out there but i don’t know how it can be seen any other way I’m really disappointed and hurt because I know good people that work there. I just don’t know how to feel about going here anymore

Honest and friendly staff, amazing selection of products, fair pricing / trade value. Highly recommend 👌 Just make sure when trading that you are okay with their offers (also understand they have to make money too) - you can always ask for a breakdown and take back what you don't feel is worth it. I had a couple cards I did take back when the values were explained.

small shop with some good music and heart. seemed fair priced, sell mostly pokemon and sports cards, and the guys were both pretty nice. had a space to sit and thumb through cheaper boxed/deal cards, a few boxes behind the counter of higher priced cards and the most rare presented inside. this was my second time in, and in the about three hours total I sat there they kept pretty busy and seemed to really enjoy chatting with a few repeat customers. just recently started collecting again and just going for my fav pokemon. Def check em out, local shop keeping it real.

Be careful when purchasing. Horrible experience with Christian. I know several people who have bought more than 4 copies of a card and had no issues. He decided to single me out and issue me a refund because the card I bought a week ago went up 200% and know they can keep the copies and resell it themselves for more. In addition to this I then asked if the opposite were to happen would I be able to ask for a full refund? Example: I buy a card for $10 and a week later I go pick it up at the store and the price drops to $5. Would I get a full refund? He said no that would not be possible. Basically the equivalent of a store canceling your preorder because the price of the item went up so much and they can relist it for more money.

Great shop with a lot of product and atmosphere! I felt very welcomed when playing in a locals tournament while visiting. Can't wait to return!
